FIREFIGHTER RUN for EVERYONE to support KIDS hurt by FIRE
Each year, hundreds of children suffer burns, with lifelong impact. Achieving health for child burn survivors requires continuous support and education, all the way to adulthood. Proceeds from Firesafe US’s Survive the Burn 5K/10K directly support child burn survivor programs as well as families of Oregon firefighters injured in the line of duty.
Founded in 2011 by professional firefighter and avid runner Cory Cochran and his wife Kathryn, the race has grown to include firefighters, children, families, and supporters from Salem and the Portland metropolitan region. Cory and Kathryn continue to manage the race as volunteer race directors with the support their four beautiful children. Your support will help with their dream of supporting families and kids hurt by fire.
